Common Storage Unit Size for a 1 bedroom apartment

Let’s say you have a 1 bedroom apartment you need to store while you are renovating it.  Or, perhaps you have sold your apartment, and the possession dates do not line up nicely.  When this happens, a short term storage solution is perfect.  With our month to month rentals – you don’t ever have to feel like you’re signing up for a long term contract.  If you only need a storage unit for a month – that is totally fine!   

The contents of a 1 bedroom apartment will generally fit in in to a 10x10 storage unit.  When you picture a 10x10 storage unit, imagine a spare bedroom.  Do you think, if you stacked your furniture and any boxes you packed up, will it fit in to a spare bedroom?  Not all furniture is created equal of course, but generally speaking, a 1 bedroom apartment will fit into a 10x10 storage unit.

Often times apartments or condos come with a small storage space – so don’t forget to factor in the items you have in that storage locker!  Bikes are notorious for taking up space in a storage unit!  To make your bike fit better in to your storage unit – consider getting a bike stand.  The bike stand will stand your bike upright – so you don’t end up using too much floor space.
